The much-awaited Vande Bharat Express will begin its direct service between New Delhi and Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, starting January 26, 2025, offering a significant leap in regional transportation.

- Train Features: The Vande Bharat Express will consist of 11 AC 3-tier coaches, 4 AC 2-tier coaches, and 1 First AC coach, ensuring comfort for a variety of passengers.
- Route & Timing: The train will cover approximately 800 kilometers in less than 13 hours, with stops at Ambala, Ludhiana, Jammu Tawi, and Katra. The train will depart New Delhi at 7:00 PM and reach Srinagar at 8:00 AM the next day.
- Ticket Pricing: Expected fares are ₹2,000 for 3AC, ₹2,500 for 2AC, and ₹3,000 for First AC.
Importance:
This new service will significantly enhance tourism and business activities in Jammu & Kashmir by providing a faster and more comfortable travel option. The Vande Bharat will also cross the iconic Chenab Rail Bridge, the world’s highest railway bridge, showcasing India’s engineering prowess.
