Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), School of Engineering & Technology, Department of Civil Engineering, is calling for applications for the Junior Research Assistant (JRA) position under a project funded by the J&K Science Technology and Innovation Council (JKSTIC), Department of Science and Technology, Government of J&K.
Project Title
Modelling of Sediment Yield and Establishing Sediment Delivery Ratio Relationships in Upper Jhelum Basin
Position Details
- Duration: 12 months (subject to satisfactory performance)
- Number of Positions: One (1)
- Emoluments: ₹15,000 per month
Essential Qualifications
Candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:
- B.E./B. Tech. in Civil Engineering or a relevant field with:
- Minimum CGPA of 6.5 or at least 60%.
- M.Sc. in Geology/Geoinformatics/Earth Sciences/Geography/Environmental Science and Management/Environmental Science with:
- Minimum CGPA of 7 or at least 65%.
Additionally, candidates should have knowledge in Geographic Information System (GIS), Remote Sensing, Satellite Image Analysis, and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS).
Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in GIS, Python, and MATLAB.
