The following weather prediction has been released for the Jammu and Kashmir region by the Meteorological Department in Srinagar:

January 19,

• Expect mostly overcast sky, with a chance of light snow in certain places.

20th – 21st January

• With the possibility of light rain or snow falling in sporadic locations throughout the area, the weather is expected to stay overcast.

22nd January

• It is predicted that a more important weather system would deliver light to moderate rain to the Jammu plains and light to moderate snow to various locations around the region.
• Light to moderate snowfall is also anticipated in the higher elevations of the Pir Panjal Range and the Chenab Valley.

23rd January

• The weather will remain mostly overcast, with the chance of light rain in the plains and light snow in isolated areas.

24th – 28th January

• During this time, there should be a break from precipitation as the weather stays largely dry.

29th – 31st January

• In isolated areas, there may be light rain or snow near the end of the month along with mainly gloomy skies.
