Srinagar, Jan 31: The Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), G.N. Itoo, has issued a directive stating that all teachers must remain stationed at their respective locations starting February 10, 2025.

Itoo clarified that while teachers are not required to formally report to any district or zone-level office on February 10, they must ensure they are not away from their stations. The Director emphasized that teachers may be needed for official duties at any given time and should be readily available, remaining on-call during this period.

This announcement comes amid confusion among the teaching community regarding attendance at district headquarters. Earlier, when winter vacations were announced, the department had instructed teachers to be present at their district headquarters from February 10, with schools set to reopen on March 1, 2025.

Teachers were initially told by district and zonal officers to report to schools on February 10, leading to some uncertainty. However, G.N. Itoo has now clarified that teachers are not required to join schools on that date, but they must remain in their respective stations in preparation for upcoming exams.
