The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has engaged a Delhi-based ICT firm to serve as the consultant for this groundbreaking project. The firm will prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR), handle land demarcation, and oversee planning stages. Starting from Gorakhpur district, the expressway will stretch to Panipat, drastically reducing travel time. For instance, the Gorakhpur-to-Haridwar journey will be cut down to just eight hours.
Connecting 22 Districts Across Two States
This 750-kilometer expressway will traverse 22 districts, starting from Gorakhpur and passing through key regions like Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Lucknow, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, and Muzaffarnagar, before culminating in Panipat. Initially planned to extend only to Shamli, the project has now been expanded to connect with Panipat, adding immense value to the route.
