The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), in collaboration with SBI Life Insurance Co., has announced a campus placement drive scheduled to take place on February 11, 2025. The event will be held at the Convention Centre on the IGNOU Campus, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi.
Available Positions
The placement drive aims to recruit eligible candidates for two permanent positions:
- Business Development Manager
- Unit Manager
Salary Package
Candidates selected for these roles will receive a fixed annual CTC of ₹2.85 lakh.
Selection Process
The recruitment process will be conducted in two stages:
- Group Discussion (GD)
- Personal Interview (PI)
A panel of experts will oversee the selection process. Candidates must report before 11 AM to be eligible for participation. The placement event is expected to extend into the late evening, and punctuality is essential.
The event will begin with a pre-placement talk, during which company representatives will provide details about the organization, job responsibilities, and salary structure. To enhance their chances of selection, candidates should dress formally and prepare thoroughly for the discussions and interviews.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Requirement: Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years old.
- Educational Qualification: The drive is open to graduates from any stream.
- Experience: Prior experience in sales is not mandatory, but candidates with relevant experience will be given preference.
Work Location
Selected candidates will be posted at SBI Life branches across the Delhi/NCR region.
Documents Required
Candidates attending the placement drive must bring the following:
- Two copies of an updated resume/CV
- Two passport-sized color photographs
- IGNOU ID card
- Academic documents, including SSC, HSC, graduation, and post-graduation mark sheets, as well as degree/provisional certificates
- Experience-related documents (if applicable), such as appointment letters and the latest three months’ salary slips
- Government-issued identity proof, such as PAN card and Aadhaar card
Job Responsibilities
Candidates selected for the Business Development Manager and Unit Manager roles will be responsible for:
- Understanding all products and services offered by SBI Life Insurance
- Acquiring new clients through direct contact and referrals
- Collaborating with Life Mitras and bankers (CFIs) to drive sales and achieve targets
- Engaging in sales planning, customer relationship management, and business development
