To provide seamless last-mile connectivity for passengers, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has introduced a free shuttle service between Ghaziabad’s Namo Bharat Station and Shaheed Sthal, New Bus Adda Metro Station. This initiative is part of NCRTC’s broader efforts to improve passenger convenience in the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor.
Free Shuttle Service for Smooth Travel
The free shuttle service covers a short 300-meter distance between the Namo Bharat Station and Shaheed Sthal Metro Station. E-rickshaws have been deployed under this service to ensure quick and eco-friendly transport for passengers.
Future Connectivity Plans
NCRTC is working on additional measures to enhance last-mile connectivity:
- A footover bridge is under construction to directly connect Namo Bharat Station to Shaheed Sthal Metro Station, providing a safe and efficient walking route for commuters.
- Discussions are underway with feeder operators, cab services, auto-rickshaws, and bike-taxis to further expand connectivity options along the corridor.
Electric Buses Already Serving Namo Bharat Stations
Electric buses operated by Ghaziabad City Transport Services Limited are already providing extensive last-mile connectivity across Namo Bharat stations in Ghaziabad. These buses run on seven routes, covering key locations like Sahibabad, DPS Rajnagar, Guldhar, Duhai, Murad Nagar, and Modi Nagar (North and South).
This comprehensive approach reflects NCRTC’s commitment to improving accessibility and convenience for passengers traveling on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor. The new shuttle service, along with future enhancements, is expected to make public transport in the region even more efficient and commuter-friendly.
