Although cold conditions have subsided in North India, including Uttar Pradesh, and temperatures are rising, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall in several states. From February 3 to 5, parts of Northwest India and the Western Himalayan region will experience rainfall. Meanwhile, dense fog is expected across North India tonight and tomorrow morning.

In the past 24 hours, dense fog was observed in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, and Meghalaya, along with foggy conditions in Chandigarh and Sikkim. Additionally, light rain and snowfall occurred in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Temperature and Fog Forecast
Over the next three days, minimum temperatures in North India will rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. However, hilly states will see little to no change in temperature. In Central India, temperatures will remain stable for the next day before rising by three degrees.
Fog will persist in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, and Manipur until February 2.
