What is the UTS App?
Launched in 2014 by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), the UTS app is designed to simplify the ticketing process for passengers. Available for free on both Android and iOS platforms, the app allows passengers to book unreserved tickets, seasonal tickets, renew passes, and even purchase platform tickets on the go.

How to Register on the UTS App
- Search for the “UTS” app on Google Play or the Apple App Store and download it.
- Enter your phone number, name, gender, and date of birth to complete the registration.
- Create a strong password using the password generator.
- Agree to the terms and conditions and click on “Register.”
- Once registered, use your credentials to log in.
Booking a Ticket on the UTS App
- Choose between a paperless or paper ticket option.
- Select the “Depart from” and “Going to” stations.
- Click on “Next” and then select “Get Fare.”
- Press “Book ticket” and complete your payment via R-wallet, UPI, net banking, or card.
- View your ticket in the “Show ticket” section of the app.
- If a paper ticket is required, you can print it at the railway counter using your booking ID.
How to Recharge Your R-Wallet
- Tap the R-wallet icon on the UTS app.
- Select “Recharge Wallet” and enter the amount.
- Make payment via UPI, Net banking, credit card, or debit card.
- Your R-wallet will be credited with the amount, and you’ll receive a 3% bonus on your recharge.
Important Tips for Using the UTS App
- Tickets are valid for boarding the train up to three hours after booking.
- To book a platform ticket, you must be within 2 km of the station or 15 meters of the railway track.
- Seasonal tickets can be booked for 3, 6, or 12 months.
