Indian Railways has exciting news for passengers traveling between Jammu Tawi and Srinagar. The much-awaited Vande Bharat Express on this route is expected to start operations in October. Ashok Kumar Verma, General Manager of Northern Railway, shared updates regarding the train’s launch. He stated that in the initial phase, the first Vande Bharat Express in Kashmir will operate between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar. However, by the end of the year, its service will be extended to Jammu Tawi.
When asked about the exact launch date, Verma mentioned that the first phase of modernization work is in progress. The train service is expected to begin once this work is completed.
